ART IN THE STREET: LEVIS X SNO X MOCA

Studio Number One, in collaboration with Levi’s, unveiled 10 different limited-edition Trucker Jackets designed by renowned artists exhibiting in “Art in the Streets,” a massive survey of street and graffiti art that is open at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles.

SNO coordinated the creation of each of the 10 jacket designs, from curating the original artwork for the Trucker Jackets to overseeing their physical production and designing original packaging. The artists in the series were specifically chosen by SNO to represent various eras and genres of street art from the 1970s to the present, resulting in the broad spectrum of imagery and history that “Art in the Streets” also deftly portrays.
Only 50 Trucker Jackets of each design are being produced. Packaged in a special Levi’s x MOCA box, each garment from the collection is being sold exclusively at the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA and retails for $250. The proceeds from the sales of the jackets benefit MOCA and its community programs.
Inspiration
Since it was first introduced in 1967, the Levi’s Trucker Jacket has served as an iconic canvas for artists around the world, from the boogie-down Bronx to the favelas of Brazil. This Levi’s Trucker Jacket is part of a limited-edition collaboration celebrating Levi’s partnership with MOCA and the “Art in the Streets” exhibition.
